Q. How Do I book one of your courses?

Q. Do I need a martial arts background to attend one of your courses?

A. "No", our programs are specifically designed for people who have never been exposed to the combat arts, but even experienced martial artists will benefit from the programs. StreetSense personal safety programs are adaptable to all ages and skill levels.

Q. Our company would like to book a private course. Do you schedule private sessions?

A. Our courses run for four hours per session. Customizing course length is not a problem, and we will tailor our program for your specific needs.  StreetSense courses are ideal for corporate team building. We also offer excellent corporate rates.

Q. How many people are needed for private courses?

A. StreetSense keeps course sizes limited to fifteen participants at a time to ensure that everyone gets plenty of individual attention from our instructors. We will book private courses for as few as five participants.

Q. What can I expect to learn from attending one of your courses?

A. Our personal safety courses will teach you how to identify, assess and mitigate risk in your personal life. We teach that 90% of security for yourself and your family comes from knowledge and planning. The other 10% comes from training to ensure that you are ready when and if knowledge and planning are not enough.

We teach proven self-defense concepts that are easy to learn and do not require years of training to work. StreetSense believes that you will react the way you train. That's why we use Adrenal-Stress Induced Saturation Training with a Padded Attacker to ensure that each participant learns to "Throw the Switch" and show them how to use their fear as a tool to survive violent encounters.

Q.  Are your courses only available for women and teens?

A.  No, although the vast majority of our courses are attended by women and teens, StreetSense recognizes the need for everyone to have access to Personal Safety and Self Defense training. Our mixed courses are ideal for men, husbands and wives, families or just a really different outing with your significant other.
